13 weeks - the babies are the size of peaches this week! We had a nice relaxing weekend, did some cooking for the freezer with my mom and sister, hung out with some friends, started packing for vacation, and went to church. We are starting to think about the logistics of this whole twin thing...its a little overwhelming! Since these are our first babies we have nothing to compare one baby vs two babies at a time. We are trying to figure out what we really need and what we can live without (our house isn't very big!)
Obviously, one thing we will need a LOT of is diapers. At first I said no way to cloth diapering two babies, but then we started to think about if each baby needs 10ish diapers a day, that is 140 diapers a week and 560 diapers a month! We started to do a little research and it is actually a fair amount cheaper to do cloth diapers with a diaper service (I would never have time to clean/wash them all myself, at least not at first!) than it is to do regular diapers. Not to mention we would have to take our garbage out twice a week with disposables! So, that is something we are considering right now. We'll see what happens :)
Everyone will have an opinion so you just need to do what works best for you! I will change their cute little cloth diaper butts :)
ReplyDeleteme, too! me, too!
ReplyDeleteYou have so many people in your life who love you and want to help you out. If you want to do a diaper service, put the word out. A friend of mine had coworkers who pooled their monies to buy 6 months of diaper services as a baby shower gift.
ReplyDeleteAlso, this same friend has two-year-old twins and says if you want to breastfeed and would like some advice she'd be happy to send an email. Just let me know.
