Cohen - 3.5

If I'm in denial that Ezra is almost two, I'm definitely in denial that this guy is almost FOUR!

 My little hero.  He is growing so much. Like (literally) leaps and bounds. Getting more steady on his feet and more confidence in his heart. Always up for adventure.

He loves preschool and riding the bus. He loves hanging out with his Auntie and playing with his cousins. Whenever we go somewhere he says "Are my cousins going to be there?". He also loves pushing his shopping cart(s) around, trains and cars. Nearly every day I find our front door mat over the transition from the hardwoods to the carpet in his room and it's the "ramp" for his cars/shopping cart/trains. He also likes to connect and hang things across the house, which we have tried to limit to his room because otherwise the house turns into quite the obstacle course. It's so interesting to see his little mind working to make things happen and then carrying them out.

He is our Mr. Literal and just wants to know about everything about everything. "How does it work? Why does it do that? But why? But why? But why...." One day he was very persistently asking the same question over and over and I said told him to drop it. He said "But Mommy, I don't have anything to drop!" Oh dear...Always keeps us on our toes!

15 Months

Cohen is 15 months old, almost 12 months adjusted.

Cohen hasn't been to the pediatrician in the last few months (yay!) but we are guesstimating that he is around 19 lbs. He is a skinny little fellow and is still wearing 9 month pants but 12-18 month onesies. He is tall but seems to have gotten the short Rinehart legs, sorry buddy!

He has 7 teeth with an 8th on the way.

He cruises around on everything but isn't quite ready to try walking.

He continues his love for all things cars, wheels, trucks. He "drives" all of his toys around the house.

His favorite foods are pancakes, avocados, and bananas. He won't eat berries of any kind and eggs are hit or miss.

He is only taking bottles sometimes in the morning and usually before bed, otherwise he's a sippy cup kinda guy.

He is practicing waving "bye bye" although it doesn't always happen and sometimes he says "bah" for bye bye. He is funny with saying things, sometimes he will say a word for awhile and then he quits.

He usually never puts up a fuss for naptimes or bedtime and he sleeps 12-13 hours at night. He is still taking 2 naps a day and is thinking about switching to one, but hasn't fully committed.

He LOVES his Mr. Shakers/Stinkers and his new favorite thing is to crawl over to his crib and try and pull him out through the slats.

He is starting to like books and will occasionally sit still long enough to hear one. His favorites are "Baby Animals", "Trucks", and "Naptime for Kitty"

He is big into throwing things. He throws all of his stuffed animals out of his crib, his food off his tray, his bottles when he is done. We are working on signing "all done" but so far Cohen all we get is an occasional arm flail.

 {Time for a bike ride}

{This boy loves him some corn on the cob!}
{Exhausted and refusing to nap}

13 Months

I'm a few days behind, but better late than never! I apologize for mass posts, I'm trying to do some catching up.

At 13 Months:

- In the 10th % for height!! He's ON the charts! Not for weight or head yet, but he is for height so we'll take it
- Cohen still eats about anything (except raspberries) but loves bananas and avocados
- Wears 12-18 month clothes, size 4 diaper
- Crawling faster every day, pulling up to stand, and gets down much better
- Has been camping twice
- No new words, and I'm still not sure he says the old ones on purpose (mama, dada, mmm, hey)
- Is less interested in bottles during the day, but still likes his morning and night bottle
- Favorite toys: Chuck the dump truck, sunglasses and cell phones or anything else he isn't supposed to have

10 Months

Cohen, you are 10 months old (6 months 3 weeks adjusted)! This means you will be ONE in only 2 months...how time flies. You continue to amaze us every day with the new things you are doing. You watch us and the world around you intently, trying to take everything in. You want to do anything and everything. It's like you know how hard it was to get here and stay here and so you want to take full advantage of life. I hope you keep that throughout your whole life.

You are still a very busy boy and you want to experience everything you can.

- You weighed 15 lbs 15.5 oz and were 27 inches long at your appointment a few weeks ago. It always amazes me that you could be 15 lbs heavier and 14 inches longer than when you were born!! And yes, I will still be saying this when you are a teenager.

- You can get up on all fours and rock back and forth. You can also turn circles and scoot backwards.

- You say "hey" (your OT got it on video!)

- You went to church for the first time on Easter

- You have 2 little teeth

- You are very polite when you wake up, yawning loudly, talking softly...if that doesn't work to wake up
 Mom and Dad then you yell a little.

- You found and ate your toes for the first time at your OT appointment! I almost cried because it was such a "normal" baby thing to do and it was so sweet.

{A little yogurt for lunch}

Please say a little prayer that Cohen doesn't catch this cold I have! I'm hoping that maybe he is the one that gave it to me since he had a little cold last week (which I was blaming on teething).
